Man Killed As Truck Mows Down Bike In Kalahandi

Kalahandi: A man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding was mowed down by a speeding truck near Gungunia village under Jaipatna police limits in Kalahandi district today.

The deceased has been identified as Debendra Rana from Chhilpa village in Dharmagarh.
Reportedly, the incident occurred when Rana was returning home this morning. Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit his motorcycle near Gungunia village. As a result, he died on the spot.
Following the mishap, irate locals staged road blocked demanding compensation for the kin of the deceased.
On being informed, police reached the spot and persuaded the locals. Later, the body was seized and sent to a local hospital for post mortem.
