Bhubaneswar: Vigilance teams conducted simultaneous raids on houses and office room of Bhawanipatna Forest Range Officer Prasanna Kumar Mishra on the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets and detected movable and immovable assets worth Rs 1, 21, 14, 905 in his and his family members’ names.
The teams conducted Mishra’s residential building at Hilpatna, Bhawanipatna, native house at Pariagaon village in Kalahandi district and father-in-law’s house at Bhawanipatna Irrigation Colony, Bhawanipatna and office chamber at Bhawanipatna on the strength of search warrant issued by a court.
The detected assets include a double-storied building worth Rs 38, 55, 398, six plots worth Rs 15 lakh, bank and LIC deposits of Rs 55, 42, 724, gold ornaments of Rs 6, 92, 953, household articles of Rs 62, 080, hard cash of Rs 62, 000 and a motor bike worth Rs 45,000.
According to Vigilance, Mishra had joined as a Village Forest Worker in the year 1989. He was promoted to the rank of Forest Range Officer in the year 1998 and posted at Bhawanipatna and K gaon in Kalahandi Dist. He is still continuing as Forest Range Officer at Bhawanipatna, an official release informed.
